“Black Clouds” is one of those records which is almost impossible not to get lost in. Produced by Trox, Ty Farris and Cassow go complete apeshit on a song that’ll get overlooked by many due to the present notoriety (or lack thereof) surrounding their names. And that’s a damn shame.
Contrary to popular belief, the title does not reflect the life of every Dallas Cowboys fan in America. Instead, Farris and Cassow address the plights in neighborhoods from coast-to-coast and the thought process of the “have-nots” who inhabit them. It’s an honest record brought to life even more given the intensity of the production, making it one of the better songs you’ll likely hear all month.
Ty’s Tyrant drops later this month.
