One promise I made to myself was to never again live life without NBA TV, NFL Network and DVR. Last night, I missed the highly anticipated airing of Ice Cube’s Behind The Music special on VH1. Now thanks to some brilliant individual in the marketing department, waiting for a re-run is no longer needed as an option. It’s not rocket science that the appeal of Oshea’s music has lost its luster over the years, yet his impact on the genre in the late ’80’s and early-to-mid ’90’s should never be questioned. Ask anyone of age enough to appreciate Cube’s run and they’ll how prominent of a figure he was and ultimately still is. Not to mention, “Doughboy” was one of the pioneers in Hip-Hop to break into the acting field.
VH1’s documentary series are normally always of noteworthy quality, so I’m expecting this to follow suit. Below is the entire clip for those who were left wondering what all the fuss was about, like myself.
