When I saw the details about this song, I laughed hysterically for a few reasons.
1. Waka Flocka’s album is called Triple F. My initial guess was that it stood for “F*ck, Fight, Flip Out” or something. Instead it stands for “Fans Friends Family.” Really? Is this a rap album or a Lifetime movie?
2. What do you think an early single to an album called “Fans Friends Family” would be? Something called “Togetherness” or “Happy Feelings?” Nope, motherf*cker! The first single is called “LET THEM GUNS BLAM!!!!11!!!ELEVEN!!!”
3. Meek Mill and Waka Flocka rapping together has to sound like the hardest episode of Fraggle Rock ever.
After having my own personal roffle fest at all of this, I decided to actually give the song a chance and I must say that Meek Mill has been on a tear recently. From his dope singles to standout guest spots, he’s killing right now. And Waka on a hook is just ignorant fun times.
Since we’re living Triple F right now, may as well indulge in the “Foreign Shit” video, which continues the trend of rappers filming in Paris. But Waka adds a Riverdale spin to the concept, incorporating strip clubs and random scenes of him riding around screaming “Squad!” out of his car window.
