In the waning days of 2015, Wiz Khalifa released a thank you video to his fans for a massively successful campaign that culminated in a Golden Globe nomination for “See You Again.” He also announced in the video that he would be releasing a new album before Rolling Papers 2 called KHALIFA.

While being interviewed on the red carpet of the Sunday’s Golden Globes, Wiz set a date for the project’s release. “Everything is good,” he said. “I got a new album on the way…it’s coming out January 22nd. I came off of two really successful tours this year, so we’re gearing up for some more tours now.”

That aside, Wiz seemed to be enjoying the gala event. “I just been working, hanging out with my son, Sebastian. I got my mom here now and stuff like this, The Golden Globes, just new opportunities is going to open it up for me and the gang this whole year. So shout out to Taylor Gang.”

KHALIFA will be the rapper’s sixth studio album.
