Wiz Khalifa’s back in the business of music again with the release of his new album, Khalifa. The project comes on the heels of his much publicized spat with Kanye West that eventually was settled before any diss songs could be recorded. With all of that in the past, it’s a return to the hot streak the self-proclaimed King Of Everything had rolling that included the commercial success of “See You Again” right as well as those “old Wiz” tracks that gave day one Taylors music to be excited about, too.
The new LP was very much a surprise move Wiz managed to spring on everyone by delivering the news live on the red carpet at the Golden Globes in January. As the follow-up to 2014’s Blacc Hollywood, the release will bridge the gap until Rolling Papers 2, which is expected to release this summer. The self-titled effort is now live for listening and purchase on iTunes, complete with 13 new THC-coated tracks. Besides the Travi$ Scott collab “Bake Sale,” the guests are mostly a family affair with Taylor Gang’s Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, Chevy Woods and even his son, Sebastian. making appearances.
