In celebration of the Marine Corps birthday, all posts today will have a decided military flavor.
Now, for the bargain price of $25 million, Tiger Woods will design a golf course for you. If you think that's a lot of money (say, maybe because it's ten times what Jack Nicklaus charges), you're wrong. I mean, this is Tiger Woods we're talking about. He could turn that shitty crack in the earth called the Grand Canyon into 18 holes of Elysian Fields. In fact, the U.S. government should probably just give him the deed to Yosemite — there are too many bears and not nearly enough sand traps out there.
Seriously, if you think that's expensive, just look at what our servicemen make. Hell, a lance corporal (the most populous rank) in the Marines is making $375 a week. And if he's in Iraq, that's an extra $150 a month for hazardous duty pay. Tax-free! Cha-ching! And, as the New York Times notes today, it's not like they're doing anything that hard.
