The Hornets have finally returned to New Orleans full-time this season, and they're playing like a team that's grateful to never have to spend a night in Oklahoma. Last night the team formerly known as NOOCH beat the Lakers 118-104 thanks mostly to Peja Stojakovic's shooting and Chris Paul's court vision.
Stojakovic shot 10-of-13 from 3-point range on his way to 36 points, while CP3 added 19 points and a team-record 21 assists, while David West and Tyson Chandler dominated the frontcourt, combining for 32 points and 17 rebounds for the 4-0 Hornets. On the losing side, Kobe Bryant had 28 points on "only" 20 shots, while no one else on the Lakers was any good for approximately the 175th consecutive game.
