NBA: 51 For LeBron, 22 Down For Cavs

LeBron James scored 51 points as the Miami Heat got rid of the Orlando Magic last night, 104-100. That’s a more impressive win than it sounds, considering that Orlando has lost four of its last six. And nobody was clamoring about how the road to the Eastern Conference title runs through Orlando. Maybe it does, though. I’ll Google-Map that later.

Conversely, LeBron’s old team has lost 22 games in a row. Antawn Jamison is leading that effort with 17 points per game. He’s a totally capable replacement for LeBron in Cleveland, who, remember, were the first team to 40 wins last year.

That’s quite a contrast; I was sure the Cavs would lose a step (or two) without LeBron. I didn’t think they would turn into the Nets. At least now the Cleveland faithful can look forward to winning the…uh…(*checks mock draft*) Jared Sullinger sweepstakes. Leave it to Cleveland to pluck another Ohio boy from the field and milk him dry.
