With Leather’s Watch This: Any Day Now, Dirk Nowitzki

Despite the fact that they’ve been playing without their star forward, Dirk Nowitzki, the Dallas Mavericks are finally enjoying a little success with a nice little 3-game winning streak that has pushed Mark Cuban’s underachievers above .500 for the first time since Nov. 21. And to make that good news even better, it seems that Nowitzki will be back… eventually. Bah, who needs injury updates and reports when you’re winning, right Mavs fans?

That said, the Boston Celtics will win tonight.

NBA: Dallas Mavericks at Boston Celtics – 8 PM ET on ESPN

Actually, this should be a pretty great game, with both teams struggling to find their grooves early in this NBA season. And there’s absolutely nothing else of worth on, so you might as well watch it and then submit your thoughts to NBA Confessions. Specifically that one you’ve been having about Rajon Rondo. Yeah, I know all about that, you perverts.

WWE Main Event – 6:30 PM ET on ION

I was going to ask once again how this mid-week WWE programming is going, but I see that it has already been moved to 6:30. That’s pretty odd. Maybe they just wanted to make it earlier so Rey Mysterio can go out and celebrate his birthday with everyone.

Jim Rome on Showtime – 10 PM ET on Showtime, obviously

Rome’s new show hasn’t been too shabby. About par for the course for the “Love him or hate him” sports talking head.

NBA: San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz – 10:30 PM ET on ESPN

I’ll be asleep by this game, and if I’m not I will watch the beginning of this game and these teams will put me to sleep.

But not after I celebrate my favorite NFL player Alfred Morris’ birthday some.
