WWE Raw Results

1. Curtis Axel defeated Triple H. This started out as a normal match, but after a minute or so, Vince McMahon came down to ringside and ordered the timekeeper to ring the bell, proclaiming it a disqualification victory for Axel. When Vince left, Triple H restarted the match.

2. Curtis Axel defeated Triple H. Same story as before. This time, Vince declared the match a forfeit victory for Axel. Triple H once again restarted the match, this time as a 60-minute Iron Man Match. That went to a No Contest when Vince returned, stealing the ring bell and Justin Roberts’ microphone to prevent the match from being officially restarted a third time.

3. Kane defeated United States Champion Dean Ambrose. Kane went for a chokeslam on Ambrose, but the other members of The Shield ran in to cause a disqualification. Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan made the save for Kane. That set up a WWE app vote to decide which member of The Shield would face Daniel Bryan later in the night.

– Vickie Guerrero made two matches for the WWE Payback PPV: Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton teaming up to face The Shield for the tag team titles, and Kane getting a US title shot against Dean Ambrose.

4. The Miz defeated Cody Rhodes. Miz won by submission with a figure-four leg lock. During the match it was announced that due to a concussion, Fandango would not compete in the Intercontinental Championship triple threat at Payback. Paul Heyman announced after the match that Curtis Axel would take Fandango’s place.

5. Chris Jericho defeated Big E Langston. Jericho originally challenged Ziggler, but Ziggler sent in Langston in his place. Alberto Del Rio attacked Ziggler from behind during the match, distracting Langston. Jericho hit the Codebreaker for the win.

6. Antonio Cesaro defeated Sin Cara. Zeb Colter was on commentary. Cesaro won with the Neutralizer.

– Vickie Guerrero ate a Hardee’s cheeseburger backstage. Vince McMahon showed up and made her feel bad about it.

7. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns was a No Contest. The ref called off the match due to interference from both Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan. That led directly to the Bryan/Rollins match.

8. Daniel Bryan defeated Seth Rollins. Bryan got the win after a long back-and-forth match with a small package. After the match, Randy Orton prevented the Shield from beating up Bryan.

– Big E Langston revealed himself as Kaitlyn’s secret admirer, bringing her flowers and acting like he was going to kiss her. Langston dropped her to the mat, which brought out the true “secret admirer,” AJ Lee. AJ confronted Kaitlyn about not having her back while men were using her last year, making her cry. Kaitlyn slapped AJ in the face, but AJ skipped away laughing.

9. Damien Sandow defeated R-Truth. Sandow pinned Truth with The Silencer. After the match, Sheamus threatened to kick Sandow’s head off during their pre-show match at Payback.

– Stephanie McMahon tricked Triple H and Vince McMahon into appearing in the same place at the same time under false pretenses, and they eventually hugged and made up. This is not a joke.

– John Cena and Ryback had a face-to-face confrontation before Payback. They yelled at each other a lot.
