Ronda Rousey, current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and friend to the children, has reprised her role as The Insureon Protector in this clip about her f*cking up and arm-barring a bunch of dudes who try to strong-arm a little girl out of her lemonade stand turf. That’s a weird sentence to type, but slightly less weird when you remember that her first Insureon commercial was about her breaking Geek Squad arms.
Standing up for the rights of precocious children is a good career move for Rousey right now, as her season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ has started up and is poised to make her look nuts:
“I haven’t seen any of the footage yet, but I’m aware that I’m going to look nuts … These kids that I’m responsible for have everything that is important in their lives on the line, and if that isn’t something important enough to care about and cry about, then I don’t know what is. I have no filter with my emotions, and people are going to see exactly what I’m feeling. I don’t think that is a bad thing.”
She also told USA Today, via the Inquisitr: “How could people possibly know who you are from a couple of clips of a video that people are seeing out of context? That’s no way for people to get to know you, so I’m just preparing for people to get the worst idea of who I am.”
Miesha Tate isn’t helping, either (spoiler: Miesha Tate never helps):
“I think people are finally seeing her true colors a little bit. This is a six-week thing. It’s not like you can really hide who you are over a six-week course. The cameras are always there. I think people are finally starting to realize exactly why I haven’t been able to get along with her and what the problem has been, and I think it’s hilarious that she’s already making up excuses for how she behaved and saying that I ‘emotionally manipulated’ her and all this stuff. She actually already seems embarrassed, like looking back on it, knowing people are going to see the truth.” (BWO BR)
So before this season of TUF sours you on her forever, enjoy this video of Ronda Rousey getting sour on somebody else. Literally.
