On Saturday, the Florida Gators hit rock bottom with the program’s sixth-consecutive loss of the season to drop their record to 4-7. To somehow make matters even worse, that 26-20 loss came against FCS “cupcake” Georgia Southern, which accepted a cool $550,000 to make the trip to the Swamp and escape with a win. So it can’t get much worse than that, can it? Yes. Of course it can. Just look at that above screen shot that perfectly captures the essence of Florida Gators football in 2013, the program’s first losing season since 1979.
But don’t worry Gators fans, every college football team has a bad season now and then. Now it’s time to go out and find that next Urban Meyer to return the Gators to National Championship glory. You know, in another year, after Will Muschamp gets to give it another go in 2014.
