UFC on Fox 12 Results And Live Discussion: Robbie Lawler Vs. Matt Brown

The past two UFC cards have been REALLY AWESOME, and this one, UFC on Fox 12, looks REALLY AWESOME on paper. Part of me thinks this means it will be a lackluster card, but most of these match ups feature dudes that are physically incapable of having bad fights. Please take a moment to check out the With Leather Staff Predictions, we all worked really hard at those jokes!

The prelims start on Fight Pass at 4:15 PM ET. There are a few names here, like Steven Siler versus Noad Lahat, but all I’m looking forward to on this part of the card is the strawweight bout between Juliana Lima and Joanna Jedrzejczyk. These are two Muay Thai face-destroyers in probably the most talent-rich women’s division. Expect all the fun stuff in this one.

The prelims roll on, heading over to Fox at 6:00 PM ET. Friend of Rener Gracie, Brian Ortega is going to be making his debut, so look for some slick grappling from “T-City”. Patrick Cummins looks to continue his path of quitting his job working at Dumb Starbucks as he squares off against Kyle Kingsbury. In the People’s Main Event, things should get really cool as exciting lightweight kick-men, Daron Cruickshank and Jorge Masvidal throw down. That fight should have at least two bonkers moments.

The main card will be on Fox at 8:00 PM ET. This portion looks good to me, since we start (START!) with Josh Thomson taking on Bobby Green. Clay Guida and Dennis Bermudez will bring the frenetic pace of the featherweights, then it’s time for some top level boxers as Anthony Johnson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira do battle.

The main event will determine the next man to challenge for Johny Hendricks’ welterweight title, as former contender, Robbie Lawler goes up against Matt Brown’s impressive seven fight, six finish win streak. This is going to be SO F*CKING BADASS, YOU GUYS! Brown and Lawler are two dudes programmed to throw heavy leather until the target in front of them stops twitching. This is gonna be good.

For further evidence of both guys’ ability to have awesome fights, here are two prior performances, graciously provided by UFC. First up is Robbie Lawler vs Bobby Voelker from UFC on Fox 8.

Next up is Matt Brown versus Erick Silva, back on UFC Fight Night 40.
