Are The Bulls Better Than The Cavaliers? LeBron James Seems To Think So.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls will get their first looks at each other this season as the Cavs face the Bulls in a preseason game on Monday night in Columbus. According to LeBron James, the Bulls are “much better” than his Cavs. At least right now.

“[The Bulls] are a team that’s much better than us right now just off chemistry. They’ve been together for a while, we’ve got a long way to go.”

Along with adding LeBron as a free agent, the Cavs also added Kevin Love via trade as well as a few role players like Shawn Marion and Mike Miller. But it’s not as if the Bulls are bringing back the same team from last year. Over the summer they added Pau Gasol via free agency as well as rookies Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic, and of course this year is yet another injury return for Derrick Rose. Both teams can expect an acclimation period, so this may be a case of strategic patronizing on LeBron’s part.

Tonight’s preseason game will be a good opportunity for both teams to get a look at each other, but a real test will come on Halloween when they face off against each other for the first time in the regular season. Until then, I suppose this makes for decent preseason gamesmanship.

“We’re worse.”

“No we are.”

“No way. We’re totally worse.”

“Fine. Fine. You win, you’re worse.”
