In a report that will shock virtually no person anywhere, New York Yankees 3rd baseman Alex Rodriguez allegedly admitted to the DEA that he indeed took performance-enhancing drugs provided to him by Biogenesis between 2010 and 2012.
According to the report, Rodriguez admitted to purchasing $12,000 per month worth of illegal drugs for nearly 2 years from Anthony Bosch, operator of the clinic. Included in those drugs were testosterone cream, gummies, and HGH. He was also given tips on how to beat MLB’s drug testing programs, such as “only using mid-stream urine”. Lovely.
This information contradicts Rodriguez’s public claims of not being involved with Biogenesis. From January of this year:
“I have been clear that I did not use performance-enhancing substances … and in order to prove it, I will take this fight to federal court.”
Rodriguez was recently reinstated from his 162-game suspension by MLB and as of now is eligible to play in 2015. He has 3 years and $61 million of base salary left on the 10 year, $275 million contract he signed prior to the 2008 season.
