Vancouver Honors Hockey Legend Pat Quinn With A Wonderful Rendition Of ‘Danny Boy’

I get that most of you don’t watch hockey and probably don’t know or care who Pat Quinn is. But he’s a hockey legend, a guy who had been around the game for five decades. On Sunday, he passed away at the age of 71 following a long illness.

Quinn played in the NHL, he coached, he was a GM, he was an executive, he won gold medals for Team Canada, he won Memorial Cups—his fingerprints stretch across North America, from Vancouver to Toronto.

Last night, the Canucks honored Quinn (an Irishman) with “Danny Boy.” And I don’t know about you, but “Danny Boy” gets me every single time.

R.I.P. Pat Quinn.
