Brush Up On Your Sports Capitalism History With This Super Bowl Ad Mashup

With Super Bowl XLIX still too many days away, we’re left to talk about one of three things: A) #DEFLATEGATE, B) the Pro Bowl, or C) Super Bowl commercial teasers and previews. Seeing as all the airless pigskins in the world couldn’t help my Dolphins get into the playoffs and Andy Dalton as a Pro Bowl starter depresses me, I’m content to focus on the creativity of television commercials that cost more money to make than most families will see over four generations. Four million bucks for a 30-second spot that barely tells us why the product is worth our time? You gotta love Capitalism.

For some added fun, in between Carl’s Jr.’s same old-same old and Victoria’s Secret’s literal fantasy football, the folks at World Wide Interweb have put together this collection of “The Best Super Bowl Ads Ever.” Are these truly the best? We have 10 days to argue until there’s meaningful football to watch.
