Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings was arrested in Georgia on Wednesday morning on charges of speeding, reckless driving, and driving under the influence. Police say Jennings was pulled over while driving his 2015 Mercedes S63 for going 99 mph in a 65 mph zone. When officers approached the vehicle, they smelled alcohol and proceeded to ask him questions about where he was headed. Turns out he was on his way to a parent-teacher meeting.

According to the [police] report, Jennings refused to take a breath test and “then began making comments about speeding because he needed to get to a parent-teacher conference for his 2-year-old and did not have time for this.”

I’ve been to preschool parent-teacher meetings and I really can’t say I blame him if he felt like he had to get drunk first, but he should really think about finding a designated driver next time.
