Former UFC Champion BJ Penn Has Been Arrested In Maui For Assault

Retired fighter and former UFC lightweight and welterweight champion, BJ “The Prodigy” Penn, has been arrested in his home state of Hawaii for assault. According to the report on Maui Watch:

Anonymous reports to MAUIWatch have confirmed that Hawaii MMA star BJ Penn was arrested Saturday night at his hotel room after an altercation between him and his friend. Sources say he was staying at the Four Seasons Maui when police responded and encountered an inebriated Penn. According to the anonymous source, Penn severely assaulted the individual and left him fleeing back to the hotel room where the arrest was later made.

This is not the first time Penn has run into trouble with the law, especially regarding assault:
