Brandon Bostick’s NFC Title Game Gaffe May Have Cost Him His Job In Green Bay

The last time we heard from Green Bay tight end Brandon Bostick, he was leaping into the air in the closing minutes of the NFC Championship game against Seattle to recover an onside kick with his team ahead 19-14. Unfortunately for him, and perhaps the entire state of Wisconsin, this happened:

Following the recovery of the onside kick, Seattle marched down the field and scored. Green Bay lost in overtime 28-22, missing out on a chance to advance to the Super Bowl.

On Monday, it appears that things have gone from bad to worse for the young tight end, as he announced on Twitter that he has been cut from the team.

As a third string tight end, he was never an integral part of what Green Bay did on offense, but he was still a solid special teams performer. Then again, the NFL is a brutal sport and shows mercy on no one, so if that’s really all you do, you better not screw it up on one of their biggest stages.
