As many basketball fans are aware, LeBron James grew up without a father. His mother, Gloria, raised him by herself when she was a 16-year-old. LeBron’s early life featured lots of hardship as the family moved around Akron, with Gloria James trying to land a steady job. Lebron’s talked about this a lot, opened up about the struggles he faced in a single-parent household.
This afternoon, James live-Instagrammed The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air episode where Will Smith’s estranged father (played by Ben Vereen) comes back into his life, only to leave him again. It’s an emotional episode, one we’ve talked about on UPROXX countless times. An ending that brings even the toughest among us to tears, LeBron included.
