Dallas Sports Anchor Dale Hansen Is Ashamed Of The Cowboys And Their Fans Over The Signing Of Greg Hardy

Local Dallas sports anchor Dale Hansen is back to serve as our sporting moral compass. He’s made waves a few times in the past. Last May, he railed against the NFL after 248 players were selected in the NFL draft ahead of Michael Sam. Last month, he came out against the parents who were defending the students of a Texas high school who held up racist signs at a basketball game.

On Wednesday, he was upset with the Cowboys for signing former Panthers DE Greg Hardy to a one-year contract worth up to $13 million.

Hardy, when active, is one of the league’s premier pass rushers. Of course, he wasn’t active for most of 2014 after being placed on the commissioner’s exempt list when a judge found him guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Holder. The case was later dismissed after Holder stopped cooperating with prosecutors.

Anyway, Hansen is ashamed of his local team for signing him, and Cowboys fans for accepting it.

“Just when I begin to think the Cowboys can’t possibly sink any lower, they can’t fall from grace any more than they have, they find another shovel and dig a few feet deeper…funny how so many teams would pass on such a great talent only because he beat up his former girlfriend. But your Cowboys didn’t, and so many of you are so happy. Is there no line you won’t cross? Is there no crime you won’t accept? Is there no behavior you will not tolerate?”

Preach on, Dale.
