All hell broke loose at 4pm Tuesday when NFL free agency officially started. It began with an explosive trade that sent Saints Pro Bowl TE Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for center Max Unger and a first round pick.

When asked about Jimmy Graham two months ago, defensive tackle Michael Bennett offered this scathing takedown.

Overrated huh? The rest of the NFL doesn’t feel the same way.

Folk? Flik?

The Lions are shoring up their defensive line after the loss of Ndamukong Suh to the Miami Dolphins and replaced him with 31-year-old Haloti Ngata of the Ravens. Ngata will be a good run stopper for the Lions who may move to the 3-4 defense as a result.

When asked to comment about the loss of Ngata, the Ravens responded…

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Titans QB Jake Locker retired.

Locker, by the way, was the eighth overall pick just four years ago. He ends his career with 30 appearances having missed 18 games the last two seasons due to injury. Also, maybe he just wasn’t good.

Moving on…

In somewhat hilariously sad news, the Bears basically gave up on Brandon Marshall and got a 5th round pick in exchange for his services. Needless to say, that relationship deteriorated rather quickly.

Finally, as if things couldn’t get any crazier, SI’s Peter King accidentally retweeted a fake Ian Rapoport account.

This more or less sums up today’s activity.

*UPDATE: Things did get crazier because Revis Island is headed home.
