Hey fight fans, after a weekend off, we are back with a whole slew of punches, kicks, take downs, submissions and more fun stuff. There are two very solid events coming up, so let’s get into the action!

FRIDAY

Premier Boxing Champions: Berto vs. Lopez

Live on Spike TV at 9:00 PM ET, we have Premier Boxing Champions. Joesito “Riverside Rocky” Lopez takes on Andre “The Beast” Berto in a clash that could propel the winner ever closer to a title opportunity. Also on the card, Shawn “Showtime” Porter faces Roberto “La Amenaza” Garcia. Porter will be looking to rebound from his first professional loss, while Garcia brings an 8-fight win streak into the contest.

SATURDAY

UFC 185

UFC 185 begins with the early prelims on Fight Pass, starting at 6:30 PM ET, and that block of fights features Sergio Pettis, the younger brother of the headlining champion, which should be interesting.

The prelims continue on to FX at 8:00 PM ET with a solid heavyweight fight between Jared Rosholt and Josh Copeland. The prelims end with two solid strikers, Sam Stout and Ross Pearson, throwing down at lightweight.

The PPV portion of the card will start at 10:00 PM ET, and the final four fights are all filled with potential. There’s Roy Nelson versus Alistair Overeem at heavyweight, Matt Brown taking on Johny Hendricks in a welterweight slugfest, and then there are two title fights to finish the evening.

The co-main event is the first ever strawweight title defense as the newly crowned champion, Carla Esparza, takes on Joanna Jedrzejczyk, while the main event is Anthony Pettis putting his lightweight title on the line against the surging Rafael Dos Anjos in what should be a great fight.

There is a ton of action this weekend, so hang out with the Uproxx Sports combat crew and join in on our always fun live discussion!
