It was just a week ago that the women’s basketball teams of Southern and Texas Southern got into a nasty brawl, which spilled over into the cheerleaders and fans. It seems the bad blood extends to the men’s teams.

Late in the second half of the SWAC Championship on Saturday, this happened when Texas Southern’s Malcolm Riley’s was taken down hard by Southern’s Trelun Banks:

Banks, the son of Southern head coach Roman Banks, was ejected. Texas Southern would hold on to win, 62-58, which should help a beat-up Riley feel a little better.
