The Cubs’ Local TV Intro Package Is As Screwed Up As Wrigley Field

The new-look Chicago Cubs have a new local TV partner this year in ABC 7, and like their home at Wrigley Field, the coverage isn’t quite ready for the start of the season. Their intro package includes a whirlwind of MLB teams and logos, but something’s not quite right about it:

Did you catch all the mistakes? The most egregious one is at the top of this post — the Mariners don’t play in a misspelled version of San Francisco, dummy! — but errors in spelling Washington (“Washigton”), Cincinnati (“Cincinnnati”), and Milwaukee (the classic “Milwalkee”) are clear signs of a rush job. It’s still early, so the next time you tune into a Cubs game will probably be less error-filled, but what’s the internet here for if not to point and laugh at television?
