Ex-Notre Dame QB Everett Golson Lands At Florida State

Ex-Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson has finally found a home, and yes, we now will continue talkin’ bout them ‘Noles. Per Bruce Feldman at Fox Sports, Golson, who announced he was transferring two weeks ago, has landed at Florida State, where he is eligible to play immediately. Since Golson has already graduated, he is not restricted by the NCAA’s transfer rule, and won’t have to sit out a year.

Golson has a good chance to start in Tallahassee, as the only other quarterback on FSU’s roster with starting experience is Sean Maguire, who led FSU to a 23-17 overtime win over Clemson last year in place of suspended starting quarterback Jameis Winston. And right on cue, we already have our first nickname for the new Florida State quarterback.

Golson led Notre Dame to a BCS National Title game during the 2012-13 season, where he accounted for 2,405 yards and 12 touchdowns.
