It was a routine fly ball for Gregory Polanco that turned into a game-ending calamity. Matt Sczuzur hit an innocent pop fly to Polanco’s territory in right field during the bottom of the 12th inning with a runner on third. It should have been the second out of the inning with the score tied at 10, but when Polanco is making his way to the ball, he’s suddenly overcome by the ghosts of Wrigley.

The Friendly Confines of Chicago were anything but for the 23-year-old Polanco.
