A group of football players from Minnesota State University-Mankato spent their spring break in Hollywood, California, recently, and during a portion of their stay they went to a taping for The Price Is Right. One player, defensive lineman Jeffrey Raymond, was actually picked to play and ended up winning the Showcase Showdown.

“It’s fun. It was just a good time. It was an awesome time with the guys I went with and just a fun, great experience,” said Raymond.

Raymond won the bid round, but then lost his individual game. Later, he ended up in the Showcase Showdown after winning the wheel, then beat his opponent to take home trips to Paris and New York, as well as a kitchen set.

“I’m probably going to take my brother on one of the two trips, and, I don’t know. We’ll see… Haven’t gotten that far.”

Here’s Raymond and his friends celebrating his big win:

It’s a particularly nice job by one of his friends skipping the celebration and running straight over to high-five one of the models. That’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment you don’t want to waste in a silly dog-pile.
