In the main event of UFC Fight Night 72, Michael “The Count” Bisping took on Thales Leites in middleweight action. During the bout, announcer Brian Stann said that Bisping split his toe open after landing a kick to Leites’ knee.
It looks to me like a torn blister or callus, and not all that gross, but maybe I’ve been desensitized by years of terrifying cuts, breaks, and the ravages of staph infections.
Still, it’s pretty gnarly, and it’s impressive that Bisping managed to not only finish, but win the fight on that foot.
