During the top of the sixth inning of the Cubs-Brewers game at Wrigley Field on Wednesday night, Anthony Rizzo made a spectacular catch while standing atop the infield tarp. He then fell in to the stands, but still managed to hold onto the ball while having the foresight to get it back to the infield as quickly as possible.

With the Cubs leading 2-1, Ryan Braun hit a pop fly in foul territory along the first base line. The ball was drifting out of play, and Rizzo had only one play on it, which would be to climb onto the tarp and reach all the way to the second row.

We’ve seen ninja moves from Rizzo in the past, so this is nothing new for him. Notice the balancing act that he had to go through just prior to making the catch, and then try to imagine the concentration that must have been necessary to stick the landing amidst a dozen fans.

The Cubs went on to win the game 3-2 in 10 innings, and have now won six in a row.
