This Guy Hit A Home Run Backwards, Might Be Softball’s Greatest Athlete

This promises to be one of the more bizarre home runs you will ever see. Renaud Lefort, a player for Montreal’s Les 4 Chevaliers softball team, which bills itself as the “Harlem Globetrotters of softball,” apparently, stood in the left-handed batters box, but with a right-handed stance. He then swung backwards and connected with the pitch for a homer to deep right.

It almost seems impossible to be able to do that. Is it a camera trick? That doesn’t appear to be the case. The video, obviously, does not show how many times Lefort attempted this and failed, if any. But we can all be thankful for the one time he connected.
