ESPN didn’t waste much time before reprimanding Curt Schilling for the insensitive tweet he posted on Tuesday morning that likened Muslims to Nazis. Schilling, the former Major League pitcher who now works as a baseball analyst for The Worldwide Leader, posted an image comparing the percentage of extremists in the Muslim population to the percentage of Nazis in Germany during 1940, then later deleted the tweet.

On Tuesday afternoon, ESPN PR rep Josh Krulewitz posted this statement on Twitter:

ESPN comment on Schilling: Curt’s tweet was completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective. We made that point very strongly to Curt and have removed him from his current Little League assignment pending further consideration.

There you have it. Condolences to all those to truly valued Schilling’s Little League expertise.
