Browns quarterback Josh McCown led a pretty impressive drive for Cleveland that pushed them into the red zone, threatening against the Jets. After going 4/4 on third down conversions, it looked like McCown was about to be the hero the Browns needed. Going back for a pass, McCown found no one open and ended up deciding that he could take it into the end zone himself. Bad idea.

McCown got lit up by the Jets’ defense, spun around like a sack of garbage, and ended up coughing the ball up to the Jets. After some rolling around, New York recovered for a touchback. Worse yet, the Browns lost McCown to the locker room and it looks like Johnny Manziel is entering the game. It’s Johnny Football time yet again.

Gotta give McCown some credit, though, the effort was superb. It just ended in that typical Browns way:

Entering the game in McCown’s place, Johnny Manziel led the Browns to the end zone with his first career touchdown pass on his first drive with a throw for 54 yards to Travis Benjamin. It took three tries to get the PAT, though, eventually backing up to kick from 48 yards out before it was allowed to stand.
