Watch The Eagles’ Kiko Alonso Haul In An Amazing One-Handed Interception

Kiko Alonso made one hell of a first impression in Philadelphia. The Eagles’ brand new linebacker – who the team acquired in a trade that sent longtime running back LeSean McCoy to Buffalo – made a touchdown saving interception tonight against Atlanta, and it’s hard to imagine that you’ll see a better pick this season.

The Falcons were driving down the field, and ran a passing play while they were on the Eagles’ 8-yard line. Matt Ryan dropped back and saw Roddy White in the end zone. White looked wide open, so Ryan fired it in. Right as ESPN’s Jon Gruden called that the play would lead to a touchdown, Alonso seemingly came out of nowhere, contorted his body in a weird way, hauled the ball in with his left hand and took possession away from the Falcons while diving backward.

After missing all of last season, it definitely looks like the 2014 PFWA Defensive Rookie of the Year doesn’t have much rust on him.
