The New England Patriots won last year’s Super Bowl, and as such, they got the opportunity to celebrate the fact that they won in this year’s first NFL game. Of course, with this comes the chance to go all out, and my goodness, did the Patriots throw one of the most bizarre parties that you’ll ever see.

Here is a brief list of everything that happened during the pre-game ceremony:

  1. The Springfield Symphony Orchestra performed, and they were led by a bald man who was 10,000 times more intense than the band director in Whiplash.
  2. Three former Patriots legends – Ty Law, Troy Brown, and Willie McGinest – showed up with three championships to represent the first three titles won by New England, before a brief video package commemorating last year’s title played.
  3. Patriots owner Robert Kraft came out with the fourth title while T-Pain performed the hook from “All I Do Is Win” with some help from the orchestra.
  4. A clip of Malcolm Butler picking off Russell Wilson from the Super Bowl played right before the team came out onto the field.

If you are a New England fan, this ruled so hard. If you are not a Patriots fan, this was the worst thing that you watched today. No matter what, we can all agree that this was incredibly over-the-top and bizarre.
