After a great round of season-opening games last week, we were blessed with some more excitement during the NFL’s slate of Week 2 match-ups. As it sometimes goes, a lot of the things we thought we learned in week one didn’t carry over to week two, proving that the NFL is unpredictable and none of us are as smart as we think we are.

After an impressive Week 1 win, Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills, who talked some smack about the Patriots throughout the week, were taken down on their home turf. Marcus Mariota proved to be human after an out-of-this-world performance in his pro debut last week. Johnny Football got his first start of the season and slung it in a winning effort. Jacksonville and Oakland both came away with big upset victories. The defending NFC champion Seahawks have started 0-2. And arguably the biggest story of the week surrounds the Cowboys, who can’t stop losing integral pieces of their offense.

If that recap doesn’t do it for you, let the (moving) pictures tell the stories. Here now are the best GIFs and Vines from Week 2 of the NFL season.

Cam Newton can fly!

Punters are bad at defense, part one.

Punters are bad at defense, part two.

Odell Beckham, Jr. is a fast man.

Teddy Bridgewater flexes his creative muscles and turns a surefire sack into a huge gain.

This man remembers nothing.

Welcome to the NFL, Marcus Mariota!

Johnny Football’s first pass attempt of the day was as good as it gets.

This week had a lot of great catches. A.J. Green takes the elevator for this one.

This one by Julio Jones also took away a likely interception.

This one by Luke Wilson (no, not that Luke Wilson) only needed one hand.

And this one by Danny Amendola helped the Patriots hold onto their fourth quarter lead.

The Saints are bad at defense.

DeMarco Murray showed his former team how sick his hops are.

Aaron Williams suffered a scary neck injury on this play and had to be taken off in an ambulance. Thankfully, he’s okay.

Tony Romo wasn’t so lucky, as he broke his collarbone on this strip sack.

And, luckily for us all, this looks to be the go-to sack dance of 2015.
