A Fox Sports Reporter Got Hit By A Car On Live TV

Ninety-nine percent of the time, live TV reporting is significant only for what the reporters say, not where they are. But in the past few months, we’ve had humorous, as well as horrifying reminders that those reports happen in the real world, not on a green screen (unless it’s The Daily Show). On Tuesday, the world invaded yet another live report, this time on Fox Sports Mexico.

Reporter David Medrano Mora was reporting from outside Guadalajara International Airport, and was listening to anchor Aldo Sanchez when he was struck and left the frame of video, according to the Daily Mail. Sanchez’ reaction translates to, “But what happened? Careful. We are completely live and will hopefully be back with David soon.”

The Daily Mail thankfully reports that Mora didn’t suffer any serious injuries as the result of the crash, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief and watch this again:

To be honest, Mora’s handsomeness and cool reaction — while he’s on screen, at least — fail to add any comedy to the moment, so whether you find it funny is entirely dependent on just how much you enjoy watching people get hit by cars. We’re not here to judge (okay, some commenters are DEFINITELY here to judge).
