How A Lubbock Grocery Store Is Trolling TCU With Keystone Light Displays

Both Texas Tech and No. 3 TCU are undefeated heading into this Saturday’s showdown between the Big 12 rivals in Lubbock. The Horned Frogs are looking to prove themselves as a potential playoff team in their first real test of the season, while Kliff Kingsbury and the Red Raiders are trying to show that they are indeed for real after an upset win over Arkansas.

Unsurprisingly, this week’s arrest of two TCU players on robbery charges for allegedly stealing Keystone Light and then attacking fellow TCU students, is being used by some Texas Tech fans in the build-up to Saturday afternoon’s game.

One grocery store on Market Street in Lubbock, though, is taking the trolling to a whole new level with a giant Keystone Light display in the middle of their stores featuring signs that read: “It’s a steal at a price that low!!” and “Come and take it.” By way of Reddit, comes this fantastic homage to TCU’s thievery.

There’s obviously no way to know for sure this is directed at TCU, except the diction in the sign makes it pretty overt. Perhaps the one person in Texas who doesn’t watch college football is just trying to notify potential customers of a great deal on already-cheap beer, but that seems pretty unlikely.

Between this and Kliff Kingsbury taking a shot at Arkansas after Tech’s big win last week, TTU and their fans are quickly becoming trash-talking mavens thus far in the college football season.
