There’s A Chance Dez Bryant Could Play This Week Against The Giants

Could this be the week that we finally see Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant on the field? According to Jerry Jones, we shouldn’t rule it out.

Bryant, who was expected to miss 10-12 weeks with a broken foot after breaking a bone during Dallas’ season-opening win against the Giants, could possibly return for this week’s rematch with New York. Jones appeared on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas and said that if Bryant’s comfortable playing on the injury, the team is comfortable letting its star receiver play.

“I don’t know what 100 percent means in this particular case,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday morning. “One-hundred percent healed? One-hundred percent from the standpoint of no sensation, no sensitivity? I don’t think you would have no sensitivity.

“But I do think that the combination of all the work he’s done, which has been extraordinary, as well as some of the additional procedures that were done, give us a lot of confidence that, if he’s comfortable putting it down and driving off on his foot, then we’re comfortable with him playing.”

The injury was originally expected to keep Bryant out 4-6 weeks, but after getting a bone graft during surgery, his timetable was pushed to 10-12 weeks. Only one Cowboys wide receiver has caught a touchdown this season, so bringing back arguably the best receiver in the league would be huge for Dallas.
