Did you wake up this morning thinking you’d read a story about a quarterback-center exchange that involved inappropriate touching? You didn’t? Well, away we go.

In West Salem, Oregon, quarterback Garrett Moore was suspended for three days from school after officials said he “inappropriately touched another player during practice.” The player he touched was none other than the center, the kid snapping him the ball.

No, this is not a joke. This is real life.

The incident occurred on October 2 when the coach instructed Moore to take the snap from a player he had previous issues with (Moore claims he is a bully). That’s when the alleged shenanigans occurred.

He said the center instructed him to take the snap farther forward in his stance than he had with other centers.

“He wanted me to go way up there and it felt very uncomfortable,” Moore said. “I was, like, moving my hands and I touched him and he started laughing. I guess I tickled him. I wouldn’t mean to. That’s kind of weird.”

Kinda weird is a perfect description for this entire story. Moore was later called to the assistant principal’s office where they dropped the hammer on him, making the kid feel like a “complete pervert.” He will miss the upcoming game as a result.

The center, for what it’s worth, was not suspended despite kneeing Moore in the balls at practice. It’s clear the school has a zero tolerance policy for tickling, but direct shots to the junk are A-Okay.
