You’re Not Allowed To Drop Kick Your Opponent In The Face, But This Guy Did Anyway

The unimportant details of this story include that this video comes from Bangalore in something called “The Amateur League” (which sounds more like a TNT summer drama than a place in which people play semi-professional soccer, but whatever) and that’s pretty much all we know, but really that’s not what is important here.

What is important is what happens in this glorious 26 seconds of video. First, we see the ball get played into the box and the goal keeper coming in to scoop it up. Simultaneously, players from opposing teams who are chasing after it get tangled up. As the defender goes to the ground, his opponent randomly starts shoving him and getting in his face, and that’s when all hell breaks loose.

Suddenly from out of nowhere, freaking Liu Kang appears and destroys the offensive player with one of the most amazing drop kicks you will ever see in your life.

I cannot possibly emphasize how insane this kick was. Just look at it!

The air! The speed! The form! The accuracy! This kick has it all.

Now, this is probably the part where I should say that no matter how cool it looks, delivering flying kicks in the middle of the soccer game is never really okay. But with that being said, it kind of looks like it may have been justified based on what we see in this clip. To his credit, the victim managed to bounce up after it but he predictably appears a bit woozy.

Regardless, if this guy’s soccer career doesn’t pan out, he should get a call from Stamford, Conn. immediately.
