Cam Newton Snapped And Threatened A Heckling Alabama Fan Before The Iron Bowl

With the Panthers demolishing the Cowboys on Thanksgiving this week, Cam Newton had the weekend off to enjoy this year’s Iron Bowl between Alabama and his former school, Auburn.

Newton was greeted by fans as he made his way into Jordan-Hare stadium, with a few hecklers there to give him a hard time. One particularly daring Alabama fan yelled “180 K” at him, in reference to the pay-for-play scandal during Newton’s time at Auburn, and the quarterback turned around and snapped at him for it.

Newton is a legitimate NFL MVP candidate, but he’s still faced his fair share of criticism this season, from #bannergate to the Tennessee mom who just had her whole day ruined from watching him dance after a touchdown.

Through it all, however, the Panthers QB has appeared unflappable, as he just kept dabbing, giving all his touchdown balls to little kids, and just playing outstanding football while leading Carolina to an 11-0 start to their season.

But this appeared to strike a nerve with him. It’s hard to tell exactly what he said back to the fan, but it sure looks like he used the words “slap” and “sh*t” so you can put the rest together from there.

This is one of those moments where it’s useful for a pro athlete to be surrounded by an entourage that’s looking out for his best interests.
