Okay, campers. Rise and shine, and don’t forget your booties ’cause it’s cold out there today. (Alright, so that’s from Groundhog Day, but still.) This is that first week where things got a little bit chilly across a good part of the country, and it’s officially slipper season. Which is still a good season. But that also means college football is winding down.

We still have a couple weeks left in the regular season, and teams have their last chances to make or break their season. Some teams – hello, Pac-12! – fell apart a little bit already. Still, others (Big Ten???) are in wait and see mode. To talk about all of that and more, we’re bringing in Lindsay Schnell from Sports Illustrated, who is really great always. So, read her stuff and listen to this week’s podcast!

We discussed all sorts of things this week, including:

  • Martin’s adventures in Houston.
  • What coaches like Tom Herman need to do in the changing college football world.
  • When is the Playoff moving to six or eight teams?
  • And when are we getting super conferences?
  • Is the era of expansion over?
  • Ranking mascot handlers.
  • Some good Washington State talk.
  • Lindsay’s Biletnikoff finalists.
  • The Pac-12 playing a no-win Game of Thrones this year.
  • More Iowa!
  • Playoff Apocalypse action.
  • Pickin’ games.

As always, comments and tweets are always welcome. Subscribe to us on iTunes, too! You can find Robby at (@rkalland) and Martin at (@martinrickman). And Lindsay is at (@Lindsay_Schnell). Football is great and so are friends, but football is always better with friends.

Special thanks to the band Annabel for our intro and outro music. They’re really good. You should buy their music at their website or perhaps see them play a show some time.
