Check Out Conor McGregor’s Insane Ab Workout

Ever since Conor McGregor arrived in the UFC two and a half years ago, he’s been saying he’ll take the featherweight belt off Jose Aldo. So it should be no surprise that he’s ramping up his training to make sure he peaks at UFC 194 on December 12th, the night the two finally fight. Here he is doing what he calls some ‘light work’ on his abs, lifting himself up as he holds onto a punching bag with his legs.

That’s not just good for shredding abs. It will also allow him to close his guard and keep it closed should Jose Aldo knock him down and get on top of him. We’ve already seen McGregor survive in that position before – in his last fight Chad Mendes took him down but wasn’t able to get much offense going due to his strong guard game.

Not that Conor would admit that Aldo could take him down. And honestly, it’s not like Aldo probably will. The two have been antagonizing each other since the beginning of the year at press conferences around the world. And while McGregor keeps on telling the media Aldo isn’t even going to show up for the fight, Aldo probably can’t wait to finally punch this cocky Irishman in the face.

It will be the stiffest test McGregor has ever had to face. Aldo is a pound for pound great, and unfortunately for Conor, he moves much faster than The Mountain from Game of Thrones.
