Being a kicker in the NFL is a weird existence. People only seem to acknowledge you when you screw up, and only sometimes do you get a chance to shine and come through for your team. You’ve got to hold onto those moments, man. You’ve got to cherish them.
That’s exactly what Ravens kicker Justin Tucker did following his game-winning field goal against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday in Baltimore. The kick broke a tie game as the game clock expired, which is basically a place kicker’s wet dream. Tucker celebrated by breaking out a truly spectacular dance, one which he might have been sitting on for quite some time. That’s certainly not “spur of the moment” choreography.
I’m no dance captain so I won’t pretend to know what the heck this dance is or if it’s good, but I will say kickers dancing will never not be funny.
