The Oakland Raiders-Pittsburgh Steelers rivalry spans back nearly a half-century, but it may have just reached new levels of pettiness. According to KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, authorities are looking at possibly charging Raiders linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong for taunting a K-9 officer prior to their game against the Steelers on Sunday.

It’s bad enough the Raiders gave up about a billion yards to Antonio Brown, fought hard to tie the game only to lose to a last-second field goal, now they’re getting charged with crimes by the local authorities? To make matters worse and more laughable, taunting a K-9 officer is a felony in the state of Pennsylvania. So, what heinous thing did Ray-Ray do to this poor, public servant puppy?

He barked at him.

Yes, the city that employs Michael Vick as its backup quarterback is looking at possibly charging someone with a felony for barking at a dog. Now, Ray-Ray is hardly a favorite amongst Raiders fans, and has mostly played himself off the field for missing tackles, blowing coverages and doing stuff like this.

However, he did recover a crucial fumble on Sunday and remains a valuable special teams contributor. Whatever the case, Ray-Ray should be very afraid, because with the inconsistency with which the NFL dishes out punishment, he could get suspended for 100 games for this. Or he might not get suspended at all. Who knows with the NFL?
