Alex Ovechkin Splits Two Rangers Defenders To Score A Goal From His Knees

Alex Ovechkin may not be human. The Washington Capitals’ captain scored one of the most insane goals that you will ever see today during the Caps’ second round game against the New York Rangers. Ovechkin was getting harassed by two Rangers defenders, but managed to split the two of them.

That apparently wasn’t impressive enough for the NHL’s best goalscorer, as Ovechkin then decided to shoot while falling to the ice. Because he is awesome, Ovechkin managed to beat New York’s Henrik Lundqvist even though he was on his knees and off-balanced. It was Ovechkin’s second goal during the series.

The goal was ultimately for naught, as the Rangers took down the Caps, 3-2, but it was still one of the best goals during the playoffs.
