Andrew Wiggins Is Already Making People Go Crazy In Kansas Camp Games

On one hand, you could say that this video of Andrew Wiggins dunking in a Kansas Jayhawks camp game is relatively tame, like a dunk contest on a Nerf hoop, because it is just a camp game. As you can see, the defender lets up and allows Wiggins to go for the monster one-handed jam, so it’s not like he had two senior forwards in his face trying to stop him from scoring the go ahead basket with two seconds left in the Big 12 Championship Game.

On the other hand, you can’t really blame Kansas fans for getting excited about this seven-second clip by posting comments like “The legend begins” and “Air Canada!” After all, Wiggins was the No. 1 recruit in all of North America and he kept people in suspense for a long time about where he’d play, so Jayhawks fans are rightfully pumped up about what this kid is expected to bring to this team. And the fact that he doesn’t actually start playing for months makes this kind of like your parents buying you a bike for Christmas… in June.

So I say let the Kansas fans have fun with this. After all, they’re probably only getting a season of it.
