Apple Will Help Cleveland’s Brandon Moss Get His 100th Home Run Ball Back

The last time we wrote about Cleveland Indians first baseman/outfielder Brandon Moss, he was in a bit of a rough spot. He hit his 100th career home run last Tuesday, and understandably, he wanted to get the ball back, because it probably means a lot to him.

There’s just one problem: the ball landed in the Indians’ bullpen, and Cleveland’s pitchers weren’t giving it up without getting stuff back, so they made a list of items that all of the guys wanted which was posted on the Indians’ Twitter account.

Most of the stuff the bullpen requested were Apple products, so Apple CEO Tim Cook decided to help Moss out. Cook said at today’s Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco that the company will pay the ransom and hook everyone in the bullpen up with Apple products.

There’s no word on whether or not Cook will also provide reliever Marc Rzepczynski with the 50-gallon drum of lube that he requested, but hopefully he does, mostly so we can all see what a 50-gallon drum of lube looks like.
